Endeavour Hills Roof Restoration

This Endeavour Hills home required a comprehensive roof restoration to address ageing roof components, leaking areas, deteriorated guttering, and weathered roof tiles. The homeowners wanted to improve the roof’s appearance while ensuring long-term protection from the elements. The project combined roof restoration works, roof plumbing upgrades, carpentry repairs, and a complete roof coating system to deliver a durable and visually striking result.

The Problem

The existing roof presented several performance and maintenance issues:

Broken and chipped roof tiles across multiple roof sections
Deteriorated ridge bedding and pointing affecting weatherproofing
Ageing guttering and downpipes requiring replacement
Defective fascia and scotia boards on gable sections
Leaking areas requiring investigation and repair
Weathered roof surface with moss, dirt, and environmental build-up
Flashings and valleys showing signs of age and deterioration

Our Approach

The Vivify Roofing team carried out a complete roof rejuvenation designed to restore performance, improve drainage, and enhance the home’s appearance.

Replaced approximately 40 broken and chipped roof tiles using matching second-hand tiles
Re-cut tiles beneath ridge caps to improve fitment and presentation
Re-bedded ridge caps where required using a sand and cement mixture
Repointed all ridge caps with Supa-Point flexible pointing, tested to C4 wind ratings
Replaced old guttering and downpipes with new Colorbond Quad guttering and accessories
Installed new Colorbond fascia covers to all gables and gutter fascias
Replaced deteriorated fascia and scotia timber with H3 treated pine components
Identified and rectified leaking areas throughout the roof
High-pressure cleaned the roof and applied anti-moss treatment
Applied a full three-coat Premier Roof Coatings restoration system to protect and rejuvenate the roof finish

Following a recent dump of rain we had a roof leak in our two storey home in Elwood. The problem appeared to me to be caused by rain coming off the solar panels finding its way in somewhere around a skylight. Brett was recommended by a person in the building industry who vouched for the quality of his work so I gave him a call.He and his colleague Jonathan arrived that same afternoon (which I was very thankful about) and they hopped onto the roof. Brett identified an issue with the flashing, explained how the leak occurred and what he would do to fix the problem. While he was up there he did a quick roof inspection and reassured me that it was in pretty good shape and there was no need for any maintenance in the near term.Fantastic service. Both Brett and Jonathan are friendly guys. If I do happen to have problems in the future I’ll definitely be giving Brett a call.

These guys are the real deal. They are honest and actually have a conscience! They did a new steel roof for some family members and roof restoration for the in-laws. I just got them out for a quote on our tile roof which is old and has lichen. Luke was very quick to get back with a call abs very helpful on the phone. Brett came out for the quote. Very honestly told me that whilst they could restore the roof, it’s not worth spending the money now as we are planning a renovation in the next few years. Also showed me some things that I could do to clean the roof even though he already knew we didn’t need to go ahead at this time. Brett was brilliant, so kind and professional!!! I had a different roof tiler booked as had broken/ delaminated roof tiles with rain getting into the roof cavity however they did not appear nor return my calls. If I could rate Vivify 10 stars I would. Brett and Aaron are the people you want to use if you're having issues with anything to do with your roof. Not only will they give you actual practical advice instead of trying to scare you into spending tens of thousands of dollars, they'll do the work quickly and efficiently leaving your roof looking brand new. Honestly I got about 7 quotes before finding Vivify and they would all give me vastly different stories about what was wrong and what it was going to take to fix it. The prices ranged from $5k to $45k but it wasn't until I spoke with Brett that I got a solid answer and he actually re-assured us that there wasn't actually too much wrong (!) He even fixed where water was leaking in without me spending a single dollar or agreeing to any quote - where others had wanted to charge $1500 just for that. It's really rare to find such genuine, excellent people in this industry, sadly, maybe because there's so much money to be had from scaring people into having roof replacements that they don't really need. We're so happy with the work that was done and so relieved that we didn't need to spend the huge amounts others had been quoting because the situation wasn't that bad.

There were water leak stains on the ceiling. A previous plumber charged an astronomical amount just to investigate but couldn't work out where the potential source of leak came from. Spoke to Brett over phone about a potential roof leak which might be causing mold on the carpet. In less than 40 mins he was at my house ready to fix the issue. Soon he figured out that the gutter drain pipe is clogged and took no time to clear the blockage. He also looked at the other gutter drain pipe and inspected the roof for any potential tile crack. Gave lot of honest feedback about the roof health in general and promised me to send a no obligation quote to accomplish some selected roof work which I requested. The best part is he didn't charge any money because he thought this wasn't a decent size job. Well, it was for me because I was sick of the mold for over a month. I insisted to pay for the visit for couple of times but Brett was firm he won't. This is the first time I met Brett and I think now I know whom to call if I hit roof related issues. Brett also saved me money by arranging for the safety rails to remain in place for the installation of my solar panels. And he fitted a new finial and chimney cowl at no extra cost.
